IRONMAN 70.3 Kenting.
Race Kenting on your terms.

Kenting has the sort of coastline that makes a bike split look inviting. Sea exposure can make the same effort produce a very different speed on the way back. Your legs should not have to pay for what the wind did to the watch.

What could you race?

I’m Tom, the coach behind Sense Endurance Coaching. Tell me where you are now and I’ll show you what a strong day in Kenting could look like.

Let’s build your race

Let’s build your race.

Your age and race category help me estimate where that performance could place you. They don’t determine how fast I think you can race.

Change units

Keep your head when the coast makes a simple ride complicated.

Little Bay gives you a welcoming start before Highway 26 exposes you to the coast. The temptation is to turn a clear view of the road into a fixed speed target. Let the wind change the number on the watch, not the effort in your legs. The detailed bike turns and run laps still need the final 2026 course maps.

Little Bay Beach, 2026 scheduled swim

Swim to the water you find

The rolling start gives you room to settle into rhythm before committing to pace.

Seed honestly. Settle into rhythm.

Kenting coastal roads, outward bike stage

Let the speed drift without chasing it

With sea views and few hills to force pacing discipline, it's easy to override on this coastal route. Hold your number regardless of how easy it feels.

Cap opening effort. Fuel early.

Kenting coastal roads, later bike stage

Keep fuelling before the run

Finish planned nutrition and hold effort through the remaining coastal miles before the two-loop run.

Stay patient. Finish planned nutrition.

Kenting half marathon, opening stage

Give your stride time to settle

Let the first loop toward Kenting Coconut Grove feel easy, not fast, and manage the heat from the start.

Easy first aid station. Check posture.

Howard Beach Resort, published finish area

Spend the last effort only when you can

Only progress once the first loop has held together.

Stay tall. Choose the last move late.

What to check in race week

Walk through the final 2026 course maps: Little Bay swim entry, Howard Beach transition and finish access, the bike-road turns and the run loops. Check the race-week wind, sea conditions, wetsuit ruling and aid positions. Prepare for exposed riding, then make your race-day decision from the forecast you actually get.

Build the legs.
Practise the decisions.

A finish range gives you something to work towards. The preparation is specific to this race: open-water composure, patient coastal power and running by effort rather than a wind-distorted bike split become second nature.

I’m Tom. With Sense Endurance Coaching, I’ll build that preparation around your life, follow how you respond and adjust the work as you get closer to Kenting.
