IRONMAN 70.3 Goa.
Your best day in Panaji.

Miramar Beach brings you into the Goa race with the sea close and the city around you. The bike may be a repeating test of patience, but don't chase a lap split before you know how many laps the course will have.

What could you race?

I’m Tom, the coach behind Sense Endurance Coaching. Tell me where you are now and I’ll show you what a strong day in Panaji could look like.

Let’s build your race

Let’s build your race.

Your age and race category help me estimate where that performance could place you. They don’t determine how fast I think you can race.

Change units

Miramar first. Keep your best effort for the finish.

The previous Goa race centred on Panaji, with sea swimming near Miramar and running towards Dona Paula. The bike is 90 km, but the available course descriptions disagree on whether that means two or three circuits. Keep a power and fuelling plan you can repeat, then fit it to the actual map.

Miramar Beach, Goa

Settle into the sea before worrying about time

The calm triangular swim rewards an honest, controlled opening.

Seed honestly. Settle into rhythm.

Goa cycling roads, first stage

Find an effort you can carry all day

With fewer climbs and more straights, it's easy to override on this fast route. Hold your number regardless of how easy it feels.

Cap opening effort. Fuel early.

Goa cycling roads, next section

Keep fuelling through any repeated circuit

Repeat the first loop's effort and finish planned nutrition before the three-loop run.

Stay patient. Finish planned nutrition.

Goa cycling route, final stage

Avoid a late surge before Dona Paula

Let the first loop toward the Governor's Palace feel easy, not fast, and manage the heat from the start.

Easy first aid station. Check posture.

Miramar–Dona Paula corridor, early run setting

Find an even half-marathon rhythm

Repeat the first loop's effort rather than letting it drift in the heat.

Stay tall. Keep fuelling.

Goa coastal run, finish still to confirm

Save energy for the final kilometres

Only progress on the final loop once the first two have held together.

Choose the last move late.

What to check in race week

Confirm the 2026 Miramar swim loop and whether it includes two short swim circuits. The bike needs a final map: some descriptions give two 45 km laps, others three 30 km laps. Check the Dona Paula run, turns, road closures, transitions and aid before choosing lap targets.

Build the legs.
Practise the decisions.

A finish range gives you something to work towards. The preparation is specific to this race: ocean swimming, controlled riding and running after repeated road exposure are practised without pretending uncertain lap geometry is settled.

I’m Tom. With Sense Endurance Coaching, I’ll build that preparation around your life, follow how you respond and adjust the work as you get closer to Panaji.
