T100 Gold Coast.
Race Gold Coast on your terms.

The Gold Coast T100 is not a 70.3 with different branding. It asks for two kilometres of swimming, 80 kilometres of cycling and an 18-kilometre run. Broadwater Parklands to Surfers Paradise is a distinctive route, and the shorter final leg changes how you spend your effort.

What could you race?

I’m Tom, the coach behind Sense Endurance Coaching. Tell me where you are now and I’ll show you what a strong day in Gold Coast could look like.

Let’s build your race

Let’s build your race.

Your age and race category help me estimate where that performance could place you. They don’t determine how fast I think you can race.

Eighty kilometres of bike before the Surfers Paradise finish.

The 2027 T100 starts around Broadwater Parklands, rides 80 km on relatively flat coastal roads and runs 18 km towards Surfers Paradise Esplanade. The 2/80/18 format is clear; confirm the final turns before using particular roads as pacing markers.

Broadwater Parklands, 2 km swim

Swim economically beyond standard half-distance length

Sheltered Broadwater water gives a controllable opening. Settle into rhythm rather than treating flat water as permission to go out too hard.

Settle into rhythm early. Sight and hold your line.

Gold Coast beachfront roads, opening bike block

Keep the early coastal effort below the limit

A flat, fast coastal road makes a high number feel easy early. Set the wattage you can hold for the whole 80 km, not the one the tailwind offers.

Cap opening watts. Fuel on schedule.

Gold Coast roads, closing bike block

Eat on schedule and set up the 18 km run

Queensland heat builds through the morning. The return leg is where an honest opening number pays off.

Hold effort, not just watts. Finish nutrition before T2.

Gold Coast precincts, run opening

Let running legs arrive without chasing a half-marathon split

A flat course with no terrain to slow you removes every natural brake. Run the first kilometres deliberately easy.

Hold opening pace for 2-3 km. Take fluid at every station.

Surfers Paradise Esplanade, finishing run

Commit to the last kilometres when the pace has held

The finish at Surfers Paradise Esplanade is where a disciplined bike and an honest opening run get to pay out, in what is usually the warmest part of the morning.

Use every aid station to cool. Decide the finish honestly.

What to check in race week

Verify the 21 March 2027 T100 schedule, because an older FAQ on the same site retains 2026 date wording. Check the final Broadwater Parklands swim, bike road turns and 18 km course ending at Surfers Paradise. Use 2/80/18 T100 distances throughout; do not borrow standard 1.9/90/21.1 race assumptions.

Build the legs.
Practise the decisions.

A finish range gives you something to work towards. The preparation is specific to this race: a longer two-kilometre swim, steady 80 km bike and controlled but shorter 18 km run are rehearsed as one T100 performance.

I’m Tom. With Sense Endurance Coaching, I’ll build that preparation around your life, follow how you respond and adjust the work as you get closer to Gold Coast.
