Corio Bay, swim start
Use the bay to find your stroke, not to rush it
The wave start gives you room to settle into rhythm before committing to pace.
Seed honestly. Settle into rhythm.
Your day in Geelong
I’m Tom, the coach behind Sense Endurance Coaching. Tell me where you are now and I’ll show you what a strong day in Geelong could look like.
The course behind your race
Corio Bay lets you settle before the road takes you from city streets towards open country and the salt flats. Hold the same effort when the view opens up and the wind has more say in your speed. The waterfront run will tell you what that discipline was worth; save the exact turn-by-turn plan for the final course map.

Countryside and salt flats, first bike circuit
The route climbs early toward Eastern Beach Road for great views. Pace it by effort rather than pushing for the view.
Cap opening effort. Fuel early.
Geelong city return, second bike circuit
Settle into a repeatable effort and finish planned nutrition before the waterfront run.
Stay patient. Finish planned nutrition.
Eastern Beach waterfront, first run lap
Let the early waterfront laps feel easy, not fast.
Easy first aid station. Check posture.
Geelong waterfront, final lap
Only progress once the early laps have held together.
Stay tall. Choose the last move late.
Check the 2027 Corio Bay swim and transition diagram, bike turn points through salt flats and urban roads, and exact waterfront run lap geometry. Confirm road closures, aid stations and the forecast for exposed bike sections. Walk through the final course maps before committing to lap landmarks or split targets.

Prepare for Geelong
A finish range gives you something to work towards. The preparation is specific to this race: controlled work in a sheltered bay, exposure-tolerant riding and a patient spectator-lined run feel like one plan.
I’m Tom. With Sense Endurance Coaching, I’ll build that preparation around your life, follow how you respond and adjust the work as you get closer to Geelong.
