01Peguera swim · 2 km
Open with control in the bay.
The 2027 swim is 2 km in the sea at Peguera. Its buoy layout is not yet published, so settle your breathing early and sight on the confirmed course markers.
Settle by the first buoy. Sight on confirmed markers.
02Peguera bike · first 40 km
Learn the roads before you trust them.
If the 80 km route heads into hilly, technical terrain as the 2026 bike did, use the first half to read the bends and gradients. Brake and shift early, and cap your power before the climbs ask for more.
Brake early into unfamiliar bends. Fuel from the first 20 minutes.
03Peguera bike · final 40 km
Bring confidence, not extra watts.
Ride the second half with what you learned, without letting familiarity turn into unplanned speed. Finish your nutrition before T2 so the 18 km run starts fuelled.
Ride known sections smoother, not harder. Empty the planned bottles before T2.
04Peguera run · first 6 km
Find your legs after a demanding ride.
A hilly bike leaves legs feeling different. Use the opening kilometres by the seafront to check in honestly before committing to a pace.
Shorten your stride out of T2. Take the early aid stations deliberately.
05Peguera run · middle 6 km
Use the seafront as a checkpoint.
Through the middle of the run, check posture and fuelling at each aid station. Beachside noise is easy to chase, but it will still be there in the final third.
Check posture at each aid station. Keep fuelling on the flat sections.
06Peguera run · final 6 km
Make the last 6 km your decision.
Save the real choice for the last third, once 12 km of honest evidence says the legs can hold more.
Look for a strong 12th kilometre before committing. Keep the finish decision yours.
