01Forte Village beach
Swim to the conditions, not the brochure
The swim starts and finishes near the resort. Find a steady effort and sight to the actual buoys. A beautiful beach tells you nothing about the water you will meet on race morning.
Settle into your own stroke. Confirm the buoy line and exit.
02Four-municipality bike circuit
Stay under your climbing limit
The bike circuit runs through Pula, Domus de Maria, Teulada and Sant'Anna Arresi. Stay below your climbing ceiling while you have the freedom to eat and drink regularly.
Cap the harder rises. Eat before technical riding demands attention.
03Southern Sardinian technical roads
Make handling part of the plan
The 2026 course is described as technical with real climbing. Don't mistake a closed-road event for permission to descend without judgement, and don't race an unverified sequence of individual corners.
Brake before you need to turn. Ride effort rather than speed.
04Return to Forte Village
Descend with a margin
A long descent deserves proper handling, even though its exact position on the 2026 route still needs confirming. Wherever it falls, brake before the bends, leave room for mistakes and bring your legs home for the coastal run.
Ride the descent with margin. Complete fuelling where safe.
05Cala d'Ostia, first circuit
Let the legs settle before racing
The two coastal circuits reward a patient opening after the technical bike. Settle the stride and assess your effort before deciding a pace that still has to work on lap two.
Use the first aid point deliberately. Keep the first circuit controlled.
06Cala d'Ostia, second circuit
Run what remains to the resort
The second coastal lap passes Cala d'Ostia before finishing in the resort. Run by current form and effort rather than assuming the nominal 21.1 km corresponds to an exactly measured pair of 10.55 km laps.
Choose the final move late. Keep fuelling as planned.
